Thanks again and I've learned about what Digital Exclusive is now! I downloaded the app to get an idea of what is available and to be honest I doubt I'll have much use for it except perhaps another source for finding out what football is on. Thanks for your post, I do pay BT directly for the sport. You only have to watch the content that is marked as digital exclusive via the app/website any other content can be watched via the BT Sport channels on your youview box
BT SPORT CHANNEL ON YOUVIEW TV
If you have a tv subscription for bt sports and you pay bt directly you get free access to the app at no extra charge on a mobile device I apologise for asking these basic questions.!

Is it an extra charge? Do you have to watch any programme on a phone or tablet? If I was to get this app how does it fit in with the fact that I pay for my BT sport and get it via my youview box. Since everyone has mentioned the app I looked it up on the apple store and it seems to have a mixed reception some good and some not so good which is not very encouraging! Thanks for your replies, I have a couple of questions though.

I’m puzzled as to why BT don’t see this as an opportunity to sell more BT Sport subscriptions. Sky recognised that there was a potential market from those people with their own YouView box who would appreciate having it available on there. It wasn’t just to enable BTTV customers to be able to access all of the on demand/ box sets material.
BT SPORT CHANNEL ON YOUVIEW FULL
Why are they making the app available on NOW TV devices but not YouView?įurther to the above, it was reported that Sky pushed hard for the full NOW TV app to be made available on all YouView retail boxes in addition to those who had BTTV. I believe that BT are missing out on a potential market here. What about if you want to subscribe to BT Sport app only, either with or without BT Broadband and you don’t have ether a NOW TV device or a Chromecast.? I understand that it wouldn’t be necessary for those with BTTV, but I’m thinking of people that are in the situation where they have their own YouView box and just want to pay for BT Sport to watch on their tv. You don't need the BT Sport app on a BT Youview box.
